Self Reflection

In this class, i can see my writing progress. One of the main problems i had with writing was being able to have an idea and stretch out an explanation behind it. I am slowly learning how to do this. Also, looking at all the user generated content online in class ans analyzing them makes me look at that kind of content differently when i use the internet daily. I still do not understand how to analyze certain content, but this class is helping a lot in doing that. My research paper has helped me learn things about the internet and how it affects our education that i have never really noticed but is right in front of my face everyday. Every class i learn something new regarding the internet and i am waiting to learn more!

This hilarious video is of a young boy as he comes from the dentist. His father is recording him and he complains that he cant see anything and lets out a loud scream. He also complauns that he feels funny and asks if he has stitches and tries to touch them. His reactions to me were veryfunny. The user that created the remix adds a beat to the video and makes everything the boy sayd into a little funny song. I chose this video because i thought it was very humorous. I think everything works for the remix the beat and the way they kept repeating what the boy says in the original. This song was so interesting it became a song on itunes!

User Generated Content

This video is another example of user generated content. This video was made by a user called In Depth Perception and what this user did was create an alternative ending to the movie Titanic. The original author of the Titanic ended off with Rose, one of the main characters, falling in love with a lower-class male while her family tries to tear them apart, while aboard the Titanic. In the end, as we all know the Titanic ended up sinking and most of the upper-class people got on rescue boats to safety while most lower-class ended up dying while the ship was sinking or surviving the ships sinking and dying from how cold the oceans water was. But Rose stayed with Jack, the lower-class boy she fell in love with, while the rest of her family got on the rescue boats and while they both made it of the ship safely only Rose survived while Jack died from the freezing water. In the end Rose ended up growing old only having been in love with Jack and never any other man.In this video however, the creator made a new ending where Rose and Jack both survive the sinking of the Titanic, grow old together, have kids and live happily ever after.


I personally favor the original ending of this movie because movies nowadays are a little too predictable. The creator of this video went with the more predictable ending of the movie where the two lovers survive the sinking of the Titanic, grow old together, have kids and live a happily ever after kind of life. I think if this version of the ending was produced by traditional media people would have different views on the movie. The fact that the ending wasn't so happy might have grabbed the interest of the public more.
